No New Resolutions

I'm not going to spend a lot of time making a list of things I know I should do anyway. Same resolutions, another year. Yeah, I'll lose weight, exercise more, practice random acts of kindness. I don't need to write it down. Instead, here's an idea I saw somewhere else that I really like.
It's a list of things that make me happy.

Because you should always be grateful for the little things. Add your own items in the comment section.

TWENTY THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY - in no particular order

1. The complete attention of my son for more than thirty seconds
2. Live orchestral music
3. Driving fast with the top down
4. Starbucks
5. Billy Joel's "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant"
6. Standing just outside the Magic Kingdom when the train pulls up with Mickey to open the park
7. Drinks at the Waldorf with my Prince
8. Towels still warm from the dryer
9. Gel pens in 81 colors
10. The smell of Haslem's Book Store
11. Someone who is not related to me telling me they like my books
12. Shopping for new clothes
13. Dinner with J&J
14. Breakfast with the Girls
15. A new book by Lawrence Block
16. Filling in the squares of the NYTimes Sunday Puzzle
17. US 1 from Homestead to Key West
18. Grouper Sandwiches at the Hurricane

Hmm...how about seeing the scale drop a pound without having to torture myself. Or, a nice long day of fruitful writing without the phone ringing every ten minutes. Either of those sound devine.
